US military officer who claimed he shot Osama bin Laden arrested

Texas: The US military officer who claimed he shot former al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden during a military operation in Abbottabad has been arrested on charges of drunken vandalism. In a 2014 interview with The Washington Post, he claimed to have shot Osama bin Laden in a 2011 operation, but this claim has never been confirmed or denied by US officials.
According to American media reports, former US Navy officer Robert O’Neill has been arrested on charges of inciting a riot and assaulting a woman while intoxicated in a public place. I was arrested on a class A charge of causing bodily harm and a class C misdemeanor. Former US Navy officer Robert O’Neill was later released on $3,500 bail, but the case is now in court where the former US officer could face jail time and fines.
This isn’t the first time a former US Navy officer has been caught by law enforcement: In early 2016, Robert O’Neill was also pulled over for sleeping while driving. Meanwhile, US airline Delta Air Lines has banned the travel of a former US official for posting a picture on social media without a mask during the trip.
